All oil and related materials collected by KMR are safely transported to the company’s processing facility in Belcamp, Maryland, where they are properly recycled for use as alternative fuels, lubes or coolants.

The primary focus of Kroff Materials Reprocessing is used oil collection and recycling, but the company’s service array includes cleaning and servicing oil tanks and oil/water separators, recycling antifreeze, providing oil filter collection and recycling services, and state-of-the-art laboratory fuel oil analysis and regulatory testing services.

Used Oil Collection and Recycling

Kroff Materials Reprocessing collects and recycles nonhazardous used motor oil, hydraulic oil, transmission oil, fuel oil or other high flashpoint petroleum liquids.

Materials are transported via tank trucks, vacuum trucks, rail cars, drums and/or IBCs to our processing facility in Belcamp, Maryland, where they are recycled into alternative fuels or lubes.

Oil Filter Disposal and Recycling

We provide storage containers to customers for proper disposal and storage of used oil filters, which are collected routinely and returned to our processing facility.

Once properly drained and crushed, metal from these filters will be sold as scrap for use in the production of new steel products.

Oils from the filters will be collected and processed as alternative fuels or recycled lube.

Oil/Water Separator Maintenance and Cleaning Services

Oil/water separators can be costly to maintain and may lead to violations if not properly managed.

Kroff Materials Reprocessing provides consulting, maintenance, inspections, oil collection and cleaning services to customers who must maintain these systems to ensure optimum performance.

As part of the cleaning process, we remove all dirt, sand and sludge along with all liquids from the separator, drains and pipes.

We properly dispose of these materials, and all oil and grease is returned to our processing facility for recovery as alternative fuels.

Tank Cleaning and Removal

From residential settings to distribution facilities, Kroff Materials Reprocessing cleans fuel oil tanks of various sizes.

KMR ensures that tanks are cleaned and maintained regularly, including removal of accumulated sludge.

Residual fuels are collected and processed at our facility for recovery, and sludge is stabilized and disposed of properly.

Drum Collection and Disposal

As part of our normal collection processes, Kroff Materials Reprocessing collects and properly disposes of drums and IBCs.

Nonhazardous Waste Disposal

As part of our comprehensive lineup of services, Kroff Materials Reprocessing collects residual solid waste from cleaning services, tank removals, oil water separator upsets and oil dry from shop cleaning, and safely disposes of materials.

KMR offers this service for nonhazardous materials.

Lab Services and Analysis

Fuel oil analysis and accurate record keeping ensure system reliability and regulatory compliance.

Kroff Materials Reprocessing offers analytical services to ensure that fuels meet specifications and comply with all regulations.

Testing ranges from RCRA hazardous material determination through full fuel oil analysis.

Bulk Storage Tank and Containment System Services

Kroff Materials Reprocessing provides services related to bulk oil and waste oil storage tanks and containment.

These services include system design and engineering, tanks and containment system sales, tank and containment area cleaning, and contaminated water and oil disposal.

Antifreeze Recycling and Sales

Kroff Materials Reprocessing collects and processes used antifreeze and offers direct regularly scheduled pick-ups.

Used antifreezes are remanufactured by a state-of-the-art reverse osmosis treatment and separated into glycol intermediates and water.

They are then blended with purified water and inhibitors to bring them back to industry specifications and reintroduced to the marketplace.

Fuel Oil Additives

Kroff Materials Reprocessing offers a full line of fuel oil additives, including combustion enhancers, slag modifiers, and sludge and water dispersants.

Along with a solid testing program, these solutions will ensure maximum fireside and combustion efficiencies for combustion equipment.

Recovered Fuel Oil

Kroff Materials Reprocessing collects industrial and automotive used oil with our fleet of company-owned DOT compliant trucks.

The used oil is transported to our processing facility where it is manufactured into #4 or #5 burner fuel.

The net result is a high-quality, energy-efficient, on-specification recycled fuel oil sold to industries such as asphalt, electric utility, and pulp and paper.

This product is marketed to industry as an alternative to virgin fuel.
