The facility’s liquid chemicals were supplied in drums and totes, which posed numerous challenges: moving heavy drums, excess on-site inventory, direct handling of chemicals by workers or vendors, risk of spillage, and potential leakage through chemical feed equipment.

Kroff Chemical Company, Inc. engineered a solution whereby personnel no longer transport large containers and handle liquid chemicals. Facilities are no longer used for storage of liquid chemicals, improving overall cleanliness and eliminating the risk of spillage and leakage.

BOTTOM-LINE RESULTS

Kroff provided, registered and installed the chemical storage tank at no cost to the facility. Cost savings to the facility as a result of going from totes to bulk was a savings of $110,000 a year. The chemical storage program has improved aesthetic value, safety and environmental impact.
